Sen. Carrie Ruud, R-Breezy Point, recently traveled to New Orleans for the Women in Government: Technology and Innovations Summit. The event brings together women state legislators from across the United States to discuss current and emerging energy policies, innovative technology, medical innovations, transportation, telecommunications, alternative and renewable energy, tax credits, energy efficiency, and more.
"This event was a great opportunity to meet with leaders from around the country to discuss and learn about the various energy policies and technology advancements which are being implemented across the country," said Ruud.
The conference centered on a number of policy presentations from professionals within their field. The presentation topics included: Women Leadership in the High-Tech World of Petrochemical & Fuel Manufacturing, Energy Portfolios & Energy Diversity Panel; Plastics to Oil: A New Renewable; Developing an Energy Portfolio: Renewables; Innovative Automobile Technology; Telemedicine Innovations; Medical Innovations; Emerging Payment Technology.
