S & R Quisberg Inc. is one of 18 companies statewide recognized for its efforts to end hunger in its communities through the annual Minnesota Grocers Association Bag Hunger Campaign.
The campaign was coordinated by the association and included 250 association retail members, 10 vendor partners and community food banks and food shelves across the state.
S & R Quisberg Inc. received a Campaign Champion award. Its program support went above and beyond with creative in-store displays to engage consumers in the fight to end hunger, according to a news release. As a Campaign Champion, the company received $500 to donate to a food charity of its choice — the Brainerd Lakes Salvation Army.
“S & R Quisberg, Inc. is thrilled to be able to provide the Brainerd Lakes Salvation Army with a check for $500 through the work the MGA does with the Bag Hunger Campaign,” stated Chris Quisberg, president of S & R Quisberg, Inc., in the release. “The bag hunger campaign is such a worthwhile cause providing food and money to a much-needed cause. Food shelves across Minnesota struggle to provide for their communities and the need always outweighs the resources so anything we can do to help the situation is always worth the effort.”
S & R Quisberg Inc. is a family-owned independent supermarket company based in Baxter.
