The Brainerd Salvation Army is seeking families in need to help them with the upcoming Christmas season.

The Salvation Army will need clothes for children through age 15 for the Angel Tree program; new toys and gifts for children through age 15 for the Toys for Kids program and Christmas food cards.

Families can pick up information sheets at the Salvation Army, 208 S. Fifth St., Brainerd. Families must have a current address, with mail postmarked within 30 days and have identification for children. The distribution date is Dec. 17.

Applications for the Christmas program are available in Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Merrifield, Lake Shore, Jenkins, Breezy Point and Pine River. Items can be picked up and dropped off at the Nisswa Chamber, Pequot Lakes Chamber and Shaeffer's Foods.
