Salvation Army offers free teeth cleaning for those without insurance

The Salvation Army and Operation Grace MN offer free dental care to those who lack private insurance and rely on Medical Assistance.

A free tooth cleaning and X-ray event is scheduled for 1-7 p.m. May 29 and 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. May 30, where people will be treated at the dental van at the Salvation Army, 208 S. Fifth St. Brainerd, by licensed volunteer dental professionals.

Patients will need to complete and sign a health history form prior to scheduling an appointment time.

Patients will need to make a contribution or agree to perform a voluntary act of kindness to another person to secure an appointment.

If patients are not on time, the next patient(s) in line will be treated until there is an unfilled opening.

Those coming to get their dental cleaning without an appointment will be seen only after all appointments are treated.

Children must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

A dental hygienist will provide free teeth cleaning and x-rays as needed.Those with additional needs may be scheduled to see a dentist to receive dental care.
