Seal coating work is set to begin on some county roads.

The Crow Wing County Highway Department has entered into a contract with Morris Sealcoat & Trucking to work on County State Aid Highway 3 from CSAH 66 to Pine Bay Road, CSAH 10 from Highway 18 to New Brighton Point Road and County Road 104 from CSAH 22 to CSAH 23.

Under this contract, various roads in Jenkins and Jenkins Township will also be seal coated. These include Driftwood Lane, Mark Beach Road, Silver Sands Road and Cemetery Road.

Weather permitting, operations will begin today in the Jenkins area. After completing these roads, the contractor will continue moving south to CSAH 3, CSAH 10 and County Road 104. All seal coat operations are scheduled to be completed by Thursday.

During construction, these roads will remain open to traffic at all times, but delays should be expected. One-lane traffic will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car during the sealing operation.
