Court Update
The case against Eric Matthew Pikula and Jessica Lynn Gardner, both of Brainerd, who were charged Nov. 20, 2013, in Crow Wing County District Court, with two counts of first-degree drug sale, second-degree drug possession, fifth-degree sale of a marijuana mixture and fifth-degree drug possession-have been closed.
All five charges were dismissed against Gardner on April 7, 2016, and Pikula was convicted for second-degree drug possession and the other four criminal charges were dismissed. Pikula was sentenced to 48 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.
The two were arrested when the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division executed a search warrant at a residence on the 8000 block of Wise Road in Brainerd. As a result of the search warrant, a significant amount of methamphetamine was found along with cash.
