A Crow Wing County sheriff's sergeant accidentally shot his handgun Dec. 11 during the sheriff's office annual firearm qualifications event.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported in a news release the incident occurred during the cleaning process. No one was injured when the gun went off at the sheriff's office training site at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds in Brainerd.
Sheriff's office administration is currently investigating the incident and no further details were available.
