The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Breezy Point woman not seen since 1 a.m. Friday, April 30.

Darla Morris-Preble lives in the Breezy Point area, where she was last seen. She is believed to have been in the Garrison area at some point Friday, according to Sheriff’s Capt. Andy Galles, based on cellphone data.

“We don’t suspect foul play at this point,” Galles said during a phone interview Friday night. “We’re very interested in just making sure we find her and she’s OK.”

Galles said Morris-Preble is without a vehicle and left her home on foot with her dog, which is also missing.

“We do have a couple of tips just from our Facebook post that they did see a female hitchhiking on County Road 11, east of County Road 3 — this being in somewhat close proximity to her home and roughly the time frame,” Galles said. “ … We’re treating it at this point as checking the welfare of an individual who has not returned home.”
