The 57-year-old Crosby man who died Sunday, Sept. 27, after the GMC Sierra he was driving crashed in Trommald was identified as Stacy Elmer Walls.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was called at 11:01 a.m. to a crash at the intersection of Iverson Road and South Black Bear Road in Trommald. Upon arrival, deputies located the deceased man in the driver’s seat. There were no other occupants in the truck. The sheriff’s office reported that it did not appear that anyone witnessed the crash.

An investigation showed the truck was traveling north on Iverson Road, crossed south on Black Bear Road and crashed into a tree on the northeast corner of the intersection.

The preliminary autopsy results indicate that Walls died of multiple traumatic injuries as a result of the crash.
