ROYALTON -- The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible sexual assault that took place near Royalton and is asking for the public’s help in seeking a person of interest.
The sheriff’s office received a report at 11:12 a.m. Monday, July 22, involving 39-year-old Sartell woman who met with an officer from the Royalton Police Department and reported she was sexually assaulted. During the initial investigation, it was determined the assault took place outside the Royalton city limits. The case was turned over to the sheriff’s office where it is actively being investigated.
At this time, the sheriff’s office is looking for a person of interest described as a white man who is about 6-foot, 2-inches to 6-foot, 4-inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds, with brown hair and a beard. The man was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. He was last seen walking on North Evergreen Street in Royalton between 5-6 a.m. Monday. The sheriff’s office has limited information concerning the person of interest.
