Slow traffic, delays expected Tuesday, Wednesday on Highway 371 in Jenkins, Baxter

BAXTER - Motorists will encounter daytime delays on Highway 371 in Jenkins and Baxter while crews move a commercial building along two segments of the roadway Tuesday and Wednesday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported.

BAXTER - Motorists will encounter daytime delays on Highway 371 in Jenkins and Baxter while crews move a commercial building along two segments of the roadway Tuesday and Wednesday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported.

Minnesota State Patrol will control traffic while the building is moved. The schedule is as follows:

The morning of Tuesday, Sept. 23, crews will move the building along Highway 371 from County Road 115 to County Road 16 in Jenkins. This portion of the move is expected to begin at 7:30 a.m. and last 10-20 minutes.

· On Wednesday, Sept. 24, crews will move the building along Highway 371 from the County Road 49/County Road 77 intersection to Clearwater Road in Baxter. This portion of the move is expected to begin after noon and last for one hour. Northbound Highway 371 between Woida Road and Clearwater Road will be closed for an estimated 15 minutes during this portion of the move.

Motorists should seek alternate routes while crews complete the move.
