BACKUS - Anyone interested in knowing more about Cass County soils can attend a University of Minnesota Geological Survey two-hour seminar starting at 9:30 a.m. March 6 at the land department building in Backus.
The focus will be on the county's soils as documented in the new county geological atlas.
Earth moving contractors, septic professionals, landscapers and other soil professionals are especially encouraged to attend. The Cass County Board and Soil and Water Conservation District supervisors also plan to attend.
