St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School robotics teams place at tournament

With Team C winning the state tournament, that qualifies them for the world championship in Dallas, Texas, in May.

All four robotics teams at St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School in Brainerd recently qualified for the VEX IQ State Championship Robotics Tournament in Kimball.

Team 59365 D participated in the elementary division. They are Connor Marcussen, Max Wehseler, Anika Seitzer and Vinnie Buffetta. They placed fourth overall and fourth in the skills challenge.

Teams 59365 A, 59365 B and 59365 C all competed in the middle school division. Team A is Adam Lokken and Ben Laube. Team B is Beau Thuringer and Camden Esser. Team C is Shawn Marcussen and Joey Junkert.

Team A took second place in the tournament and eighth in skills. Team B took fourth in the tournament and sixth in skills. Team C won the state tournament and placed second in skills.

With Team C winning the state tournament, that qualifies them for the world championship in Dallas in May.
