ST. PAUL - Another St. Paul teacher was assaulted Wednesday and a 13-year-old girl was taken into custody, police say.
An officer was called to Journeys Secondary School, at 90 S. Western Ave., about 12:30 p.m. on the report of an assault, according to a St. Paul police incident report. A girl had punched a staff member in the face and was continuing to be aggressive toward staff, according to the report.
Two victims were listed on the report.
The girl was charged with felony theft from a person and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault, according to Dennis Gerhardstein of the Ramsey County attorney’s office. Gerhardstein said he could provide no specifics about the theft charge because of the girl’s age. Her next court appearance has yet to be scheduled, Gerhardstein said.
Journeys Secondary School, in the former Open World Learning Community building, serves students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.

The incident at Journeys follows one last week at St. Paul Central High School where prosecutors say a teacher trying to break up a fight was thrown down and choked by a 16-year-old boy.
