Nominees must be a junior in high school; make satisfactory progress toward graduation; participate in an MSHSL fine arts and/or athletics activity; hold a leadership position in their school; and work voluntarily in their community.
Each recipient will be recognized on KSTC-TV (Channel 45) during the broadcasts of the 2018 winter tournaments.
This is the 22nd year the MSHSL has sponsored the ExCEL Award. Wells Fargo is the program's new sponsor.
