State accepting applications to fill Court of Appeals vacancy

ST. PAUL--Gov. Mark Dayton announced an 8th Congressional District vacancy on the Minnesota Court of Appeals, which begins retirement of the Honorable Lawrence B. Stauber at the end of May.

ST. PAUL-Gov. Mark Dayton announced an 8th Congressional District vacancy on the Minnesota Court of Appeals, which begins retirement of the Honorable Lawrence B. Stauber at the end of May.

Dayton has asked the Commission on Judicial Selection to aid in the review and selection process, a release said. The at-large members of the Commission will consider applicants and offer recommendations to Dayton.

Only those who have resided in the 8th District for at least one year shall be eligible. Request an application by contacting Lidya Makonnen, Appointments Coordinator, via email at lidya.makonnen@state.mn.us . Application materials are due by close of business on February 21. Interviews are scheduled to be held March 28 in Duluth.
