Rep. Pete Stauber, R-Duluth, has been appointed to serve as a member of the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure's Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials, and Subcommittee on Aviation.
,"I am grateful to follow in the footsteps of my predecessor and serve on a subcommittee that has jurisdiction over issues that are of great importance to Minnesota's 8th Congressional District," stated Stauber in a news release upon being named to the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit. "I look forward to working with Ranking Member Rodney Davis and all members of this subcommittee in a bipartisan fashion as we strive to improve our nation's network of roads, bridges, and highways."
"Northern Minnesota is a strategic hub for transporting the region's vast resources via rail and pipeline," Stauber stated in the release upon being named to the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials. "I look forward to working with Ranking Member Rick Crawford and all members of this subcommittee to strengthen our nation's pipeline infrastructure and ensure the safe transfer of these critical resources both locally and beyond."

As the global economy becomes increasingly competitive, it is imperative that we modernize air transportation system to match pace," Stauber stated in the news release upon being named to the Subcommittee on Aviation.
