WOODBURY - Two people were injured when geese crossing a road caused a bottleneck near a shopping center.

At about 6:30 p.m. on March 19, Donna Rose Roberts, 59, of Apple Valley, Minn., drove her Nissan Murano into a Honda CRV driven by 56-year-old Lori Anne Owens, of Woodbury. Owens and others had stopped to allow geese to cross Parkside Drive near Woodbury Lakes shopping center, according to a police report.

The CRV was thrown across the center median into oncoming traffic, where it hit a Buick Lucerne driven by Nicole Lyn Koski, 24, of Mountain Iron, Minn.

Owens was treated for injuries at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Roberts was cited for careless driving.
