OTSEGO-A 56-year-old Brainerd man was injured Sunday when the wind blew over the semitrailer he was driving on Highway 101 in Otsego.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported Peter Brian Lakin suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident, which occurred at 8:43 a.m. Sunday. This was in the midst of a severe thunderstorm that rocked southern and parts of central Minnesota. Road conditions were reportedly wet when the wind blew the freightliner truck and trailer on its side.

Lakin, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was transported to Maple Grove Hospital.

Assisting the state patrol were the Wright and Sherburne county sheriff's offices.
