Thunderstorms, with the potential for heavy rain, are expected Wednesday, June 28.
The National Weather Service in Duluth issued a hazardous weather outlook for northeast Minnesota, including Cass, Crow Wing and Aitkin counties. The chance of thunderstorms was anticipated to increase from west to east beginning Tuesday, June 27.
"Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected Wednesday through the weekend," the weather service reported. "There is the potential for heavy rainfall Wednesday afternoon and evening, which could lead to localized flooding."
