Students receive fine arts awards

Brainerd High School fine arts advisers Monday awarded the following students awards during the annual Fine Arts Celebration Reception in the cafeteria:

• Brainonian: Chloe Hollen, Marianna McGraw, Emily Nelson, Olivia Wiskow and Alex Toensing.

• Fifth Street Journal: Julia Renn and Kyle Hensel.

• Theater: Faith Rudnick.

• Mock trial: Stefanie Maas, Luke Norquist, Alyssa Neistadt and Zoey Heitkotter.

• Debate: Norquist, Camryn Schmidt and Danny Stokes.

• Concert band: Victoria Vesely.

• Wind Symphony: The John Phillips Sousa award and Louis Armstrong award went to Travis Jensen.

• Symphonic Band: Patrick S. Gillmore Award went to Alexis Converse.

• Orchestra: Samuel Dirks.

• Choir: Theo Knudson and Maren Pelowski.

• Speech: Norquist and Schmidt.

• Youth In Government: Neistadt and Heitkotter.

• TV Productions: Preston Owen and Kiernan McFadden.
