Leadership clubs of the Brainerd High School are teaming together for the annual We Scare Hunger event.
Every year on Halloween, Oct. 31, members of each organization trick-or-treat for non-perishable food items in Brainerd and Baxter neighborhoods. In previous years, BHS has collected over 2,000 pounds of food items each year.
Flyers will be posted on houses in neighborhoods informing them students will be coming to their home to collect donations. If a house is missed, people may make a donation and drop it off in the BHS's main office.
All donations go to BHS's food shelf "The Warrior Warehouse" for students in the community who are in need. The Key Club, Interact Club, student council and FFA from BHS are teaming up for this event.
