Suburban flips over, injuring pregnant driver

CROSSLAKE--A pregnant woman was injured Tuesday after she lost control of the Chevrolet Suburban she was driving, when she hit a patch of ice, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway, flipping over on its roof.

CROSSLAKE-A pregnant woman was injured Tuesday after she lost control of the Chevrolet Suburban she was driving, when she hit a patch of ice, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway, flipping over on its roof.

The Crosslake Police Department reported Jennifer Sheets, 43, Deerwood, who is nine months pregnant, was driving west on Crow Wing County Road 11, a mile east of County Highway 3, near Crosslake in Mission Township when the crash occurred.

Police reported Sheets had unknown injuries and was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, where she was treated and then released. There were six children passengers in the suburban and none of them were injured.

Crosslake police reported a friend of Sheets came to the scene to take care of and transport the children.

The Breezy Point Police Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department and the Crosslake Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The crash was reported at 1:41 p.m.
