About 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, a 19-year-old man of Onamia arrived at the Mille Lacs Band Tribal Police Department requesting medical attention for multiple gunshot wounds.
The individual was airlifted to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale and he is listed in stable condition, the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe reported in a news release.
Mille Lacs Tribal Police reported a suspect was apprehended in conjunction with this incident. The suspect was arrested and is in custody in Mille Lacs County Jail pending formal charges.
This incident remains an ongoing investigation by Mille Lacs Band Tribal Police. No further information was available Sunday.
