MORA-A 53-year-old man was seriously injured Saturday after an SUV collided with the motorcycle he was riding.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at 11:09 a.m. north of 253rd Avenue on Highway 65, about 5 miles north of Mora. Steven R. Porter, 53, of Mora, was northbound on Highway 65, waiting to turn west onto a private driveway on a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle. A 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Joshua A. Anderson, 24, of Cambridge, was also northbound and rear-ended the motorcycle.
After initial impact, the state patrol reported the Durango entered the southbound lanes and sideswiped a 2005 Chevrolet Classic, driven by Linda A. Hunt, 63, of Aitkin.
Porter suffered serious injury and was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the state patrol reported.
Anderson, Hunt and a passenger in Anderson's vehicle-Dillon R. Troupe, 19, of Ogilvie-all suffered no apparent injury in the crash.
