HILL CITY — A driver of a Chevy Equinox was injured Monday, March 8, after colliding with a tractor pulling a trailer on Highway 169 in Hill City in Aitkin County.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 6:44 p.m. James A. Walz, 62, Grand Rapids, was driving the Equinox and Ricky J. Hatfield, 64, Hill City, was driving the 1985 Allis Chalmers tractor, both traveling north on Highway 169, when the two collided. The Chevy rolled and came to a rest in the southbound lane.
Walz reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. Hatfield was not reported injured.
