Free copies of federal tax forms and instructions are now available in limited quantities at the Brainerd Public Library.
The IRS has provided forms and instructions for the 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ. For all other forms, Kitchigami Library System patrons may use the library's computers to access them online.
Computer access is free for anyone with a library card in good standing. Library staff members are not able to assist with tax questions.
The library will not receive state tax forms or instructions, as of Jan. 1. According to the Minnesota Department of Revenue website, this is to ensure customers are filing with the most updated tax forms and instructions, which are on the department's website.
Visit www.revenue.state.mn.us for more information. For help with Minnesota tax forms, call the Department of Revenue at 800-652-9094, or call 800-657-3676 to request forms by mail.
