Lowell Elementary School has received $6,480 from Lincoln Motor Company for its participation in the Lincoln Driven to Give Test Drive Event held Sept. 26 at Mills Ford Lincoln in Baxter.
The one-day event featured 324 test drives, and was the school's third test drive event hosted by Mills Ford Lincoln.
Lowell Principal Todd Sauer said in a release the funds will be used for technology and literacy upgrades, including new books, iPads, iPods and CD players. In two other test drive events, Lowell Elementary School received more than $11,000 which was used for classroom Smartboards.
"Every aspect of the event was focused on helping students at Lowell, which made it such a positive experience," Sauer said in a release. "This partnership has provided additional funding for new opportunities for our students."
