Three injured in head-on crash

MOTLEY - Three people were injured in a three-vehicle head-on crash reported at 3:29 p.m. Sunday on Highway 64, north of Motley, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

MOTLEY - Three people were injured in a three-vehicle head-on crash reported at 3:29 p.m. Sunday on Highway 64, north of Motley, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

It was reported that a GMC Yukon driven by Edward Bialick, 84, Golden Valley was northbound on Highway 64 and a Ford pick-up driven by Michael G. Urban, 50, Glencoe, was heading southbound, when the Yukon crossed into the southbound lane, striking the pick-up. The pick-up then was rear-ended by a Toyota Corolla driven by Nicholas Raden, 19, Menahga, the state patrol said.

Urban and his passenger, Sherri L. Urban, 45, Glencoe, were transported to the Lakewood Health System in Staples with non-life threatening injuries. Bialick was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for serious injuries.

Raden was not transported to a hospital.
