ST. PAUL - Tickets for the final batch of “A Prairie Home Companion” shows with Garrison Keillor hosting at the Fitzgerald Theater go on sale at noon Tuesday. “Prairie Home’s” winter run includes Keillor’s last three Fitzgerald shows (Feb. 13, 20 and 27), while musician Chris Thile will host two on his own without Keillor (Jan. 30 and Feb. 6).
Tickets run from $49-$33 and are available in person at the Fitzgerald Theater box office or online at eTix.com.
After the Fitzgerald dates, Keillor takes “Prairie Home” out on the road, wrapping up the season at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with a show on July 1, which will air on July 2.
In July, Keillor announced this season of the popular public radio variety show he created more than 40 years ago would be his final one as host.
Keillor named Thile, 34, of Nickel Creek and the Punch Brothers, who first performed on the radio show when he was 15, as his successor. Keillor plans to stay on as executive producer for at least one more season after stepping down as host.
