Tickets for The Center’s Oktoberfest Dinner available

To make the curbside delivery more fun this month, The Center is hosting Bud and Marlys Larsen to perform German music on violin and mandolin.

Tickets for The Center’s curbside Oktoberfest Dinner will be on sale until noon Friday, Oct. 9.

The senior center, off Kingwood Street in Brainerd, hosts monthly homemade dinners on the second Monday of each month. Dinners are available for purchase by anyone, not only senior center members.

The Oktoberfest Dinner is 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, and will be a brat on a bun with sauerkraut, German potato salad and a pumpkin bar. The cost is $8 a dinner and people must go to the senior center to purchase the dinner by noon Friday. People will be handed a ticket to bring when they pick up the dinner Monday. Vehicles line up in the alley by the center to pick up their meal.

The Center does not make any extra dinners to purchase Monday. Last month, the senior center made 70 dinners.
