LITTLE FALLS - Two women are in custody after a tip of suspicious activity led to discovery of drugs and cash.
On Friday, the Morrison County Sheriff's office received a complaint of suspicious activity at the River Rock Townhomes, in the city of Little Falls.
Subsequent to that complaint, the Little Falls Police Department stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle on LeMieur Street in Little Falls.
The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force was called in to assist since the suspicious activity was regarding drug activity. Investigators from the Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force conducted further investigation and as a result executed a search warrant at the River Rock Townhomes. During the search warrant, investigators located about 4 grams of methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency. Two women were arrested - a 33-year-old woman from Randall and a 29-year-old woman from Little Falls - and are in custody pending formal charges.
In this specific case, the sheriff's office received an anonymous tip from the public of possible drug activity. Larsen urges members of the community to call in suspicious activity, especially in cases where short-term traffic is taking place. Short-term traffic would include any vehicles that frequent a location for short durations of time, which may include all hours of the day.
