On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Todd County Board of Commissioners approved a Small Business Relief Grant Program funded through the CARES Coronavirus Relief Fund.
The grant program is for small businesses directly affected by Gov. Tim Walz’s Emergency Executive Orders 20‐04 and 20‐08 and required to temporarily close.
The program is designed to reimburse the costs of business interruption caused by the required closures. An application form was developed and posted on the Todd County website under the Business Resources page, located at co.todd.mn.us/business‐resources . The application explains the required documentation and where to send the application. The grants awarded will be up to $5,000 for eligible businesses that meet the criteria of the application and provide supporting documentation.
The application period is Aug. 10-28. Applications will be reviewed, with grant awards approved on Sept. 15. Applicants will be notified of their status after Sept. 15.
