Toole named to post with Pine Tree District Scouts

SARTELL -- The Central Minnesota Council Board of the Boy Scouts of America recently announced Kenneth Toole as the new district executive for the Pine Tree District of the Central Minnesota Council.

SARTELL - The Central Minnesota Council Board of the Boy Scouts of America recently announced Kenneth Toole as the new district executive for the Pine Tree District of the Central Minnesota Council.

Toole is an Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts' highest honor, and an Iraq War veteran who served with the Minnesota National Guard. He has degrees in political science and mass communications from Bemidji State University.

The Pine Tree District includes the areas of Brainerd, Baxter, Crosslake, Pillager, Nisswa, McGregor, Pine River and Pequot Lakes.

The district currently has 12 Cub Scout Packs and 10 Boy Scout Troops and is looking to expand its numbers to provide more opportunities for boys to join Scouting.

As the district executive Ken will serve as a resource for the volunteers of the district and provide vital behind-the-scenes support to help make Scouting successful. He will also help to grow the program by working with volunteers and organizations to increase membership and Scouting opportunities throughout the district.
