LITTLE FALLS-Authorities arrested two men after retrieving drugs thrown from a window during a traffic stop.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reported at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, a deputy noticed the owner of a vehicle traveling north on Highway 10 had a canceled driver's license. The deputy made a traffic stop on Highway 10 just south of Little Falls.
During the traffic stop, the deputy noticed items being thrown out of the passenger side window, items later identified as baggies and a pipe suspected of containing methamphetamine. After a search of the vehicle, about 10.5 grams of meth were located and seized.
The driver, a 37-year-old man from Long Prairie, and the passenger, a 36-year-old Swanville man, were taken into custody. They were transported to the Morrison County Jail and await formal charges for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Little Falls Police Department.
