Crow Wing County crews continue sealing road cracks
Crow Wing County maintenance crews will continue crack sealing County Road 124 in Bay Lake Township and County Highway 33 in Crosby or Ironton early in the week.
Crews will begin crack sealing County Road 111 in Deerwood Township later in the week.
Contracted crack sealing crews will continue or begin crack sealing County Road 121 and County Highway 45 in Daggett Brook and St. Mathias townships throughout the week.
Crews will work on the travel lane and on the shoulders simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.
Crews will also patch potholes on various county roads throughout the week. They will pull over and stop frequently on the shoulders of the roads to perform the work. Loose patching material debris may be present.
Motor graders will smooth gravel roads in the northeast part of the county later in the week. Motorists should watch for the slow-moving graders when traveling on county gravel county roads.
Weight restrictions are in effect until May 28 for county roads 105, 106 and 141, Second Assessment District roads and County Highway 36, east of Highway 6, due to sub-soil saturation and frost boils.
