Crews finished paving and striping Highway 10 this week and will begin to remove the detour Thursday, Oct. 10.
All lanes on the highway will be open by noon Friday. Mainline construction in Wadena will resume in spring 2020.
In 2019, crews have resurfaced the two-lane segment of Hwy 10 east and west of Wadena, installed left turn-lanes at Highway 10/Otter Tail County Road 75, reconstructed Highway 10 between Wadena County Road 4 and Harry Rich Drive, and replaced underground drainage structures near Union Creek.
Missed the open house?
That’s OK. Here’s what to expect on Highway 10 through Wadena between Birch Avenue and Wadena County Road 4 in 2020:
April through August: Reconstruction of both eastbound and westbound lanes. Both directions of Highway 10 will be shifted onto either side of the road. Also, access to Highway 71 from Highway 10 will close, detour.
September through October: Highway 10 will close and will be detour while crews reconstruct the road.
