The Tri-County Health Care Foundation awarded $2,000 in scholarships to three of its staff members: Amy Kine, Medley Shamp and Sarah Wallgren.
Kine of Wadena attends Phoenix University in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in accounting and works at Tri-County as a senior accountant in the finance department.

Shamp of Wadena attends the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, where she is working toward her Master of Science in nursing and works for Tri-County as director of clinic operations.

Wallgren of New York Mills attends Walden University for a Master of Science in Nursing and works at Tri-County as a registered nurse in the Wadena clinic.

The Bernadine Marquardt and Margaret Prindle Scholarship was established in 2010 as an endowment memorial from the two sisters and long-time Tri-County Hospital employees.
The scholarship helps Tri-County Health Care employees fulfill their educational goals. Eligibility is not limited to clinical studies; all programs and degree levels are applicable.
The Tri-County Health Care Foundation is a private charity established in 1994 by the hospital to attract and administer charitable funds for the benefit of the communities and surrounding areas served by Tri-County Health Care.
