REMER-A 12-year-old boy was injured when the Chevy Silverado truck he was a passenger in was involved in a crash south of Remer.

The crash was reported at 11:48 a.m. Sunday on Highway 6 and Cass County Road 7. The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Silverado, driven by Philip G. Stalpes, 57, Remer, was traveling east on County Road 7, when it pulled out in front of a 1999 Chevy Silverado pulling a 1977 Fleetwood camper trailer, driven by Joshua W. Parise, 35, Remer, on Highway 6. Both vehicles made impact at the intersection.

The drivers were not injured, but Parise's passenger, Zaleyan J. Parise, 12, Remer, had non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an unknown hospital by a private vehicle.

The state patrol reported there was alcohol detected in Stalpes' system and it was unknown if he was wearing his seat belt.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
