BECKER – Two people were airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital after a truck crashed into a dentist's office building Tuesday morning, Becker Police Chief Brent Baloun said.
Baloun said the truck slid off a frontage road and hit the building housing Dr. Stephanie Gruenes Center for Cosmetic Dentistry. The truck did not penetrate the building, but caused "extensive damage," including to glass windows and to an overhang on the building, Baloun said.
The driver of the truck, who the Minnesota State Patrol identified as 43-year-old John Janu of Sartell, was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries. A man in the lobby of the building was also injured and airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital, Baloun said. The business appeared to be shutting down for the day as of 10 a.m.
