PIERZ-An 80-year-old Pierz man was injured when the Ford truck he was driving crashed at 5:49 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in Pierz.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported David J. Thommes was driving south on Highway 25 when he crossed over the northbound lanes, onto the northbound shoulder and struck a sign. The Ford continued off the road until it struck a light pole and came to a stop.
Thommes was transported to CHI St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls for non-life-threatening injuries. Thommes was not wearing a seat belt, the state patrol reported.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
