VERNDALE -- A 21-year-old man was injured when the 1997 Ford Ranger he was driving crashed at 5:06 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, on Wadena County Highway 23, north of Verndale in Aldrich Township.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office responded to the one-vehicle crash and learned Jared Sunram of Osage was traveling south on County Highway 23 when he crossed the northbound lane, entered the ditch, hit an approach and landed in a small grove of trees. The airbags in the truck did deploy.
Sunram was transported by ambulance to Tri-County Healthcare in Wadena with moderate injuries, the sheriff’s office reported.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Verndale Fire Department and Tri-County Ambulance.
