FORESTON - A driver and his passenger were injured in a two-vehicle broadside crash reported at 8:21 p.m. Saturday on Highway 23 and First Street North in Foreston in Mille Lacs County, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
It was reported Bobbie L. Iler, 32, Pierz, was driving a Chevrolet Impala and was attempting to cross Highway 23 from northbound First Street North in Foreston when he pulled out in front of a Chevrolet pick-up, driven by Thomas C. Yurczyk, 24, St. Cloud. The pick-up struck the driver's side of the Impala.
Iler and his passenger Saunya N. Weber, 32, St. Cloud, were taken to Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton for non-life-threatening injuries. The state patrol detected alcohol in Iler's system.
Yurczyk had no apparent injuries.
The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol on scene.
