United States Pageant results announced

Eight Minnesota women and girls, including two sisters from the Brainerd area, recently competed at the 2018 United States National Pageant in Orlando, Fla.

Eight Minnesota women and girls, including two sisters from the Brainerd area, recently competed at the 2018 United States National Pageant in Orlando, Fla.

Five of the Minnesota titleholders placed, with one contestant bringing home a national title. Alyssa Deltorre, daughter of Sandra and Jeffrey Payne, Breezy Point, was named the national winner of the Ms. United States Division. Deltorre will spend her year of service traveling across the country and making appearances, promoting her platform, "Heal Through Health-Helping Women Heal from Abuse."

Kennedy and Kylie Christenson, daughters of Trent Christenson and Bethany Christenson, represented Minnesota in the Little Miss and Jr. Teen divisions of the competition. Both were semifinalists and finished in the top 16 of their divisions.

Also placing in the competition was Kimberly Stommes from Sartell. She is married to Jeremy Stommes and competed in the Mrs. Division of the competition in which she was a semifinalist, placing in the top 10.

Two of the Minnesota titleholders finished as first runners-up in their divisions. Maddie Helget, daughter of Cori and Joe Helget, Clearwater, competed in the Teen Division, and Mandy Peterson, daughter of Scott and Sara Peterson, Monticello, competed in the Miss Division.
