The American Red Cross urged donors of all blood types to give now to help prevent delays in medical care this summer.
More donors are needed now to help ensure patients don’t have to wait for blood products, the organization stated in a news release. During the summer, especially around holidays like Independence Day, donations often don’t keep pace with patient needs.
Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting www.RedCrossBlood.org or calling 800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767).
