MINNEAPOLIS - A construction worker has died after an accident at the Minnesota Vikings stadium.
A statement from John Wood, senior vice president from Mortenson Construction, said one worker from Berwald Roofing has died and another is in serious condition after the accident about 7:45 a.m. on the U.S. Bank Stadium construction site.
They were working on the north side of the building.
All work on the project has been stopped.
Construction on the new Vikings stadium just passed the halfway mark last month.

The 1.8 million-square-foot facility is slated to open just in time for the 2016 football season.
