Used book sale set at Westgate Mall

Shopping guidelines include people must register for a one-hour time slot by emailing brainerdfriendsbooksale@gmail.com and include their day/time preference and if any children will be accompanying them. There will be a limit of five shoppers per hour.

Friends of the Brainerd Public Library will host its spring book sale Wednesday-Saturday, April 7-10, at the Westgate Mall.

The sale kicks off at 3 p.m. Wednesday with sale hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

The spring 2021 sale will be modified with safety precautions due to the pandemic. People must register for a one-hour time slot for the sale by emailing brainerdfriendsbooksale@gmail.com and include their day/time preference and if any children will be accompanying them.

As of Monday, Wednesday and Thursday time slots are full, but there are time slots available Friday and Saturday.

There will be a limit of five shoppers per hour.

Guidelines include:

  • Mask and gloves are mandatory for all shoppers. If someone is unable to wear a mask due to medical conditions, the Friends of the Brainerd Public Library is unable to accommodate them currently.

  • Children ages 5 or older are welcome and may accompany an adult and must be registered as a shopper and follow mask/glove guidelines.

  • Those ages 8 and older may shop independently with the accompanying adult responsible for compliance to guidelines.

  • Entrance and exit will be from a service door on the front side of the Westgate Mall site. The site is located just east of the JoAnn Fabrics exterior sign. There will be a buzzer to the left of the door to push for admittance.

  • Shopping times will begin on the hour. People are asked to not arrive more than five minutes before their shopping time.
