Skaters perform Saturday during the Vacationland Figure Skating Club's show "Minnesota N'Ice" at the Essentia Health Sports Center in Brainerd.
This year's guest skater was Abbie Symanietz who skates with the St. Paul Figure Skating Club and is a past member of the Breezy Point Figure Skating Club. She took eighth place in the 2017 Upper Great Lakes Intermediate Ladies competition, was silver medalist in both the 2017 and 2016 Minnesota State competitions, and earned a bronze in the Minnesota competition.

Growing up in the Brainerd lakes area I realized that I never wanted to leave, so it is a true blessing that I was able to find a job at the Dispatch doing something I love.
