The forum includes three presentations on the state of northern Minnesota waters by Kent Montgomery of Central Lakes College, the economic reality of clean and healthy waters by Pat Welle of Bemidji State University and the myths and policies around protecting water by Paula Maccabee of WaterLegacy.

Speakers will be joined by Levi Brown of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and Tom Watson of the Whitefish Area Property Owners Association to answer audience questions.

The forum is hosted by the Gordon Rosenmeier Center for State and Local Government, Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation and the Northern Water Alliance of Minnesota.
