The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two calls Tuesday and two Monday night.
At 7:47 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded The Center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd. Firefighters investigated and determined there was a malfunctioning alarm. At 8:50 a.m. Tuesday firefighters were called to a residence on the 12000 block of Second Street, Baxter, for a report of a stove fire. Upon arrival, no fire was found, and firefighters ventilated the smoke from the oven.
On Monday, Brainerd firefighters were called at 4:47 p.m. to a residence on the 14000 block of Cottage Grove Drive for a smell of gas. Upon investigation, firefighters provided standby assistance until the gas company arrived on scene. Firefighters then fought a vehicle fire at 5:41 p.m. on the 12000 block of Highway 210.
